Eight Ring Circus

I like to joke that my spirit animal is an octopus. At the very least I wouldn’t mind having an extra pair of arms (or eight) to make sure I can juggle everything I have going on. So it probably comes as no surprise that I ventured into the cephalopod family when further refining and experimenting with my new design technique.

These figures are 19th-century engravings that have been given a contemporary facelift through the magic of Photoshop. I say contemporary, but there is also a touch of Wedgwood about them, which itself was inspired by an ancient Greek vase. So perhaps I’ll stick with “classic” as a descriptor!
