It’s been nearly six months since I started this blog with a photograph of sunrise from the Swindon train station. In that time I feel I’ve lived up to the blog’s tagline and have truly written a little bit of everything, from wildlife and travel to sharing fiction and my home base in Chippenham. Writing the blog has been an interesting experience – and I hope interesting to read as well! It had been so long since I wrote for a non-academic audience that my writing muscles were atrophied and I vastly underestimated how much time it would take to actually produce biweekly blog entries. This commitment to writing, however, spelled out on the top of the website, has certainly helped propel me forward and, as I mentioned last week, given me a number of ideas for other projects.
I realise that writing like this, plus the photo of the sunset above, makes it seem like I am ending the blog. I’m not! I just thought it was a good time to take stock and also point out a few features that you may not be aware of. You can dip into the archives by going to https://miss-elaineous.com/archive (or click the calendar button at the top of the page) to easily search by month. You can also search by tags if you want to see all of the entries about a particular subject; just check out the linked words below the blog entries. And you can have these MissElaineous Musings delivered directly to your inbox by signing up over in the sidebar.
Many thanks to those who have been here from the start and a hello to those who have joined in along the way. The beauty of writing about miscellaneous topics is that I never quite know where I’ll be going, but I hope you’re enjoying the journey as much as I am.
